The extraordinary flavor profile of Cafe Con Amor coffee starts with location. A high altitude farm, blessed with rich soil, nurtures beans in the shade of numerous tropical and citrus trees. The fruits and intense aromas of orange, mango, guaba, lemon, guayaba and sweet plaintains add complexity and rich notes
to this specialty coffee. After a carefully hand selected harvest, beans are processed at Herbazu Mill, home of the 2015 Cup of Excellence winner. The final product is a clean cup with smooth honey sweetness, citrus tones and balanced acidity.
Most people only dream of finding their true passion. For Jon, a Nebraska Native, and Marianella, a Costa Rican who lived most of her life in the U.S., hard work was the path to bring their dream to life. After years of research, they left their successful careers and comfortable lifestyle and purchased a coffee farm in the mountains of Naranjo. Embracing the risks and challenges of what lay ahead, they set out to
listen, labor and learn, in hopes of carving their own small niche in the wonderful world of coffee. They found invaluable professional expertise in their coffee engineer, Adrian, and 40 years of hard-earned wisdom in their loyal farm worker, Chevo. Together they work as a team pursuing the best coffee growing practices with the goal to produce the finest beans. The result? Cafe con Amor - coffee with love!
